Seymour Needs A Home

Seymour - Safe For Now

Seymour is a wonderful border collie / akita mix who i spent the day with at the recent mpa event. He has lots of energy but is also mellow. He got along with people and dogs. He does pull on the leash but this should be easily fixed with training. I think he would make a wonderful pet for someone who has the patience to work on his walking and the love to really draw out his personality.

Seymour has been at the South Shelter since Aug. He should have been euthanized weeks ago but he was a staff favorite. Sadly, Seymour did not get adopted at the mpa and his time may have run out.

Update: Seymour was scheduled to be euthanized this week but he found a foster home and is safe for now. If you know of anyone willing to adopt Seymour let me know and I will let you know who to contact. I understand Seymour will make an appearance at an adoption event in San Diego later this month.

LA Animal Shelter Adopt-a-thon Event

Adopt Me-3.jpg

This Weekend, Saturday July 19th & Sunday July 20th, The Los Angeles Animal Shelters are having a reduced fee pet adoption event. The shelters are overloaded because of the mortgage crisis as well as kitten season. The prices for adoption are $43 for dogs and $28 for cats. I think the fee covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and microchip. this is an awesome deal for anyone looking to adopt a new furry family member.

Right now there is an overload of pets that need homes. Because of the Mortgage crisis many people are having to give up their pets.

If you are thinking about getting a pet – please get one from a shelter or rescue organization. These animals really need homes and the longer they are in the shelter the less likely they are to get adopted.

All of these wonderful dogs and cats are available for adoption at the Los Angeles East Valley Animal Shelter…..go get one….or two

Trade Off

Visitors constantly complain about LA traffic. They ask “how can you stand it?” I don’t even notice any more. It’s a fact life like humidity and mosquitoes on the east coast. I put up with it because the weather is good the view is nice and it suits me. LA may not be your cup of tea but I would appreciate it if you would stop trying to convince me that I should hate it.
